The Yoga Workbook by Unbroken Yoga

A while back I was wrestling with two concerns I have as a yoga teacher. One was how I could teach more people about the importance of the other seven limbs of yoga, and not just the asanas (poses). The other was how I could help make yoga a day-to-day, organized, mindful practice for those who wanted to get started (or continue) on the path to enlightenment. This is how The Yoga Workbook was born.

I got started by asking myself, what would I want in a daily yoga practice?

Well, for me, I like to start each yoga practice by setting an intention. Then I begin doing the poses. Breathwork is a part of the asana practice, but I also take time afterwards to sit and breathe; this helps me prepare to move on to the more internal aspects of yoga. Next, I try to spend a good chunk of time in meditation. And finally, I try to take my practice through the rest of the day.

And so, I created each daily worksheet to cover more than just the asana practice.

I also knew that I wanted some habit trackers, some to do lists, a calendar and a weekly planner to help me track my goals. I added in a water tracker because drinking enough water is something that I struggle with.

I split the eight limbs of yoga up, so that I cover all eight limbs in a year. I summed up the limbs for a quick reference guide for those of us who haven't memorized them all yet. Lastly, I found inspirational quotes to start each month off with.

I've been using this workbook for a few weeks now, and I love it! I have tweaked and perfected it until it is just what I wanted. And now I want to share it with you. So, without further ado, here is The Yoga Workbook by Unbroken Yoga! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
